Introducing FunDraw Clipart
What Was FunDraw?
Fundraw.com was a site I owned and ran between 2006 and when I sold the domain (and the domain only) in 2012. Now someone is using the domain to try to redirect people to a site that tries to get them to download and install a “security” app. That’s why I didn’t link to it.
It was a fun vector drawing engine in Flash with an integrated clipart library. The library was mostly public domain art from Open Clipart Library and the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Online. I commissioned artists around the world using Rent-A-Coder to draw a variety of clipart to fill out the library and provide some fun and unique images. Those contracts were executed through Rent-A-Coder (now Freelancer.com) and the contracts assigned me the copyrights to the images.
Free Clip Art? Really
I have done very little with this art in the 13+ years since I shut down FunDraw. Sure I own the copyright and I or my family could just sit on it until the 2100s while we decide if/how we wanted to monetize or license it. But why? So I’m releasing 10 a week under a CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) license.
That means you can use the images in the weekly drops however you want without having to give me credit or payment. You cannot use them to violate anyone else’s copyrights or trademarks, but that’s something they’d enforce, not me. As far as I’m concerned, you can use them to train AI, populate your own clipart site and compete with my pages, or use them to make logos and ads for businesses. Just remember that anyone else can do this too. Please note that there’s lots of other stuff on this site that is not free to use, but the clipart drops are.
I would, however, appreciate a link back to Bulmash Media at bulmash.com.
Is everything on this site free?
Short answer: No.
Only the images in the FunDraw clip art drops with a mention of their CC0 license on the same page are free. If it seems unclear, use the contact link at the bottom of the page to ask. All other images and content on this site are the sole and exclusive property of their respective owners.
Where can I get this free clipart
View our weekly drops in the FunDraw Clipart category. I plan to drop 8-10 images a week until I’ve gone through all the ones I consider worth sharing.
